I've been Psd for two wks. On flatbed side and from what I am hearing I've got a better chance at getting a man truck (conventional) if I am in flabed. Icant begin to think of getting a cute truck now. I would also like to eventually be an instructer. Imo we flatbeds get more respect. Any and all comments welcome.

You do have a far better chance, not a guarantee though. Flatbed in my experience requires more of u than van does. There is also a lot more danger involved. Weather, drops in places we don't belong, and the loads all require your upmost respect and attention.

In my experience flat customers are more friendly. As for respect well I. Have a mutual respect for those who haul my food out of or into those f'n grocery warehouses. I hate those places.
