I'm in the TX regional division but I'm a lease driver. I live in San Antonio. From about March to November, I ran an average of 2000 mi/wk. You can expect to do 4-5 trips a week. There are a lot of loads out of Houston, Ennis, and Duke, OK. Occasionally, you'll pick up in Laredo, San Antonio, Dallas, Cameron, or any of the Georgia Pacific mills off US59 north of Houston. We also run into New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. During the winter, NOV-MAR, I stay out 4 weeks at a time, freight in TX really slows down a lot. I've been averaging about 2500-3000 mi/wk and I'm making about the same as I do during the summer.. freight rates are just too #### low right now.

Just a quick note about TX though, Prime is losing customers... either by losing contracts, or customers shutting down. We had Carrier (the a/c guys) out of Tyler, TX but supposedly they're shutting down the plant and the DC.

    Hey everyone,

Its been a while since I was on here. I hope everyone is doing great. I have been really busy now that im a Landstar. It's crazy dispatching your self, but I go where I want, and get home often. I think I was home more in two months then I when I was at Prime for a year. I do miss the millennium building and all the stuff that's there for you. I'm currently looking for a co-driver, and can't seem to find a good candidate. If you guys know someone looking have them send me a PM. I would prefer they be from the Houston area, or southern California, but will consider other areas for the right person. Thanks guys and stay safe out there.

This is a few months late, but I'm glad to have found ya! I'm tenatively slated to head out Prime but am still curious about some flatbed specifics (and VERY curious about the Houston market). Send me a PM-as a newly registered used I can't. Hope Landstar is working out.

I dunno about that, I do quite well in Dallas, but then again, I run TX regional.. so there's always something from the Lowes DC in Ennis. The furthest I've had to d/h from DFW was down to Corsicana to pick up some styrofoam insulation

    styenchko Thanks this.

Not much going on but I did hear of a dedicated run out of Las Vegas for hazmat, not sure if it's still available.
