We pickup preloaded whenever we get there. Ive picked up at night more than once. I prefer driving at night, but most drops are during the day. For the past couple months Ive been doing mostly drop n hooks. Including picking up out of Springfield and Pittston. When it comes to the weekend, we get our weekend load. A load with good miles on it to take us from Thursday/Friday to Monday/Tuesday. Rarely do we pickup/drop on the weekends, most of our customers are closed.

My favorite load so far. Dropped it last week. Loved those Bobcats.

Last couple loads have had more weight on the drives though. I was happy. This load is only 24000 so it doesnt make as much of a difference, but is loaded forward. Makes it hard to see the front unit.

I used one of my tarps on the CP load... Had to help hold down the fittings just sitting in the crate. I used the blue tarps on the lumber load from Maine. So HA!!!

What do you do about your load securement equipment when you drop and hook?

Take your gear with you, I have never dropped a loaded trailer. Now repower is different, the guy taking your load has the option of keeping my equipment on the load and trading out straps binders and whatever else you used. If he doesn't want to trade then I take my gear off the load and he has to secure it all over again.

If you drop in a terminal you can/should get yard tarps and straps/chains to put on it so you can keep your equipment.

    da1 Thanks this.

Just like was said above. Though I look at the condition of the gear. I try to keep good stuff.
