Good Luck ,
see if you can last 6 months, things will get better.Chinatown Thanks this. -
Potential Prime drivers won't take your advice because they already know Prime is the best thing since Oriental Massage Parlors. Anyone with even a tiny bit of critical thinking skills should know if you arrive at orientation and there's 150 other students there also, then it's time to hitch hike home; do an "about face" and RUN!123456 and MidwestResident Thank this.

$700 a week? I would slap my Dm and walk away at that low pay. No Driver, new or Vet, should make under $1,000/wk. Ever!MidwestResident Thanks this.

700 is still better then i was makeing and i figured i would only do it for about year then the money gets bigger if i go somewhereG.Anthony Thanks this.

Hi Chinatown,
How are you?
I LIKE they way you wrote this post. I was laughing so hard after reading it. -
There are truck drivers, both the ones starting out, as well as more experienced ones, who are NOT earning $1,000 a week. Quite often, a person must go where the jobs are available, or that are open to him or her.
Also, if an individual was earning minimum wage or otherwise a low income, $700 a week would seem like "manna from Heaven" for that individual. Keep in mind, the individual who is earning less money is still a working person contributing to society, quite often trying to feed and support a family, as well as paying into federal and state tax system.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!Last edited: Sep 13, 2015
G.Anthony Thanks this. -
this is true. i like my weekly salary, as i am dedicated and do quite well. i only work about 35 to 45 hours per week.
why should i or why would i give that up, to work more hours for the same money?
i wouldn't. but here in New England, i think the situation is that we are saturated with drivers and not enough local jobs. which many may have to seek out OTR or regional for the same money i earn, in such a short work week. -
$700 a wk to drive a truck that only goes 57 mph on the interstate?
I'll pass.
