Do a Google search for Prime Drivers....put the 2 words together.....and that will give you a place to check more in depth. I know some guys are happy....some are not....the same as every other company out there. Some guys complain because they're getting too many miles.....some complain they're not getting enough. LOL

Im company solo. I enjoy it.

I do better than the 6.25 Miles per gallon min. the company wants, so Im not facing having my truck speed turned down to 60 or termination if you cant make the min. after having your truck turned down. They can pull up very detailed engine diagnostics of your driving habits and show you how you waste fuel each week.

Im not forced to do anything I cant do. My FM reschedules the appointment or arranges a different load. Communication is key. If Im coming up on a reload, I tell him my clock for the day and if any short hour days are coming up and they adjust for me.

I have had two loads where I said the delivery is not possible legally with my logbook. One was rescheduled. The other was given to someone else and I receieved a different load first thing the next morning (it was late evening) No sitting as punishment.

Never seen a single Bible verse, or religion mentioned in anything Prime does. I do recieve a daily status and issues from my board by my Fleet Manager. Its usually encouragement of Fuel Economy, how busy freight is in some areas. He has made it clear that being shutdown for log violations is unacceptable. Its the driver's responsibility to speak up if he cant do something and he will work with you to either get the job done or get you a load you can do.

Irresponsible and greedy drivers are the ones out there accepting loads they know they cant run legal and are hoping they dont get caught. To this extent I find Prime at fault cuz it gives a driver the rope to hang himself, but I rather have it this way then getting dinged everytime I go 15min over here and there.

couldnt agree with you more about companies and some places seeing us as the lowest forms of life there is, I am sure I am not the only one who has overheard terminal managers, shippers, dispatchers, etc saying how drivers are a dime a dozen and if they cant find one their is always a foreign national coming to this country who can go into that truck for drop dead rates in the cpm. Trust me I was a dispatcher before I became a driver so I have heard some things that would make your toes curl.

I was just fired from prime. I had been there for 13 months sence they bought out the company I was working for. I never had any problems getting my money and I never had to run illagal. If were you I would contact upper management go to the top if you have to.

Prime is like all the rest they will do what ever they can get away with. I went from being nominated for driver of the month oct. 15 to being fired 7 days later for poor fuel mileage.(company policy)

It sounds like any excuse will do. Probably do the economy. Do you think they feel as if they can just get rid of anyone now or would they have fired you anyway, even if the economy was good?

I was fired for poor fuel mileage. Sounds simple right but with most things in trucking it's not. My truck had EGR problems wich Prime road assist and my fleet manager knew about. My fuel mileage went from 6.6 to 5.8 in 2 weeks. Instead of asking me if there was a problem they called me in to the yard after home time and fired me. No questions no discution just your fired.
