I've heard all the things about Prime. But sence they bought us out I could keep my vacation time and every thing I thought I could make it work awhile. I was wrong!

Plenty of companies are doing the Heres the MPG we want ( need ) and if you do not or cannot get that your history.
1 company wants 7.25 MPGout of its O/O's before they get the fuel discounts and increased mileage rates.
-
Thats crazy to ask. Its another way big companys screw the little guy.
-
Not really , they proved that their fleet average with company drivers was 7.25 MPG , the O/O's in the LARGE CARS with the HAMMER DOWN attitudes had to adjust some made it others just quit.
Companies have to watch the $ today , bottom line is not that bendable ( look at the auto sector ) and not all companies are out to screw the little guy. -
I wish that were true. If you lease to a company the fuel is your bottom line not theirs. The reason companys lease trucks on is to save money and taxes. It also lowers their involement, taxes and the hiring of a drive just to mention a couple.
-
Here is a NO BRAINER if your an O/O and can get up to 7.25 MPG from whatever you were getting below that you the O/O
make more $ hows that getting screwed
And no offence but I have been around trucking long enough to know how it works -
You said they didnt get the fuel discount unless they get 7.25.
-
Yes I did but it seems you did not understand it.
"and can get up to 7.25 MPG" means they achieved the DESIRED MPG ( 7.25 ) and therefore would get the FUEL DISCOUNT and INCREASED MILEAGE RATES which in turn means more $. -
Never mind your post says one thing and I guess your trying to say something else. But the way I read it is that they set a goal high enough you cant reach it so they dont have to pay you the money they promised. Maybe I'm wrong.
mannmk7 Thanks this. -
Actually, I have talked to a lot of Prime drivers that are getting 7.5 to 8 mpg. Keep in mind that a lot of the problem with fuel economy is idling overnight. I know when I was driving with American Eagle I watched my fuel economy and I could drop nearly 1-1.5 mpg overnight from idling but then through the day bring it back up.
