Yeah, well take the advice on Swift, Roehl, Crete and the others with a grain o' salt... none of them pay what Prime does to start. See if you can get in with Prime, and then try the others. The name of the game is to get onboard somewhere, and start your career.

After reading everything Prime is my 1st choice. I'm just so far down in fl that I think my options are limited. I plan on calling recruiters in the next few days. May get my CDL first then hire on as student driver. I'm currently an account manager for a security firm. Looking for a career change, big decision I plan on thinking through. I really do appreciate all of the input I've received.

Finished on line application with Prime. Called Recruiter after that. I guess they were closed for the night. Left voice mail. Guess I'll find out if they hire this far south when a recruiter calls me.

I know this thread hasn't been used in a while. I am trying to figure out if Prime hires out of the middle TN area? Around Nashville, Clarksville, TN? I40, I24, I65?? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, you're good. We're up 'n down those routes regularly, and deliver in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area regularly. Hometime won't be a problem.

Thank you for the response ironpony! Hometime is not all that important to me though. I would prefer to stay out around 8-12 weeks at a time (as long as I can keep my sanity) Lol. I would actually prefer teams. Say when hometime does come though, do I have to take it at my residence? Or could I say that I want to take it in another state? Also, do I get to take the truck home with me? (Granted if I have a safe place to park it)

You can take your "hometime" anywhere you like. Prime finds you a load to near as they can to where you want to go. You run it, deliver, drop the trailer where they want it (to keep running with it) and then you bobtail to where you're going. Reverse the process on the way out.

Don't forget the dedicated runs in the Murfreesboro/Shelbyville area.
