Prime in the NE

    I could be wrong, but I don't think you can legally collect unemployment while in training as once you get to the training phase, you are employed by Prime.


    Instruction phase could be whole nother ball game as you are not officially hired until you pass the CDL skills test.

    Yeah, I collected mine up until the day I got my CDL.

    Spoke w/ unemployment today and she says I have to get approved to actually still collect while training. There is even a section on the form that the employer has to fill out. Now how the heck am I supposed to do that?

    You'll need to contact your recruiter, fax him/her the form, and get them to fill it out and fax it back. A pain, but hey... you're getting the picture of what life on the road is like early!

    I went thru that school zone 3 times today and slowed down EVERY time.... never saw the flashing lights the 4th and he bagged me. I know the guy to (small town) and yet he still wrote me up:biggrin_25510:

    Dude get a lawyer ASAP. If you get convicted of 15 mph over the speed limit, kiss OTR trucking goodbye for 3-5 years.
