Prime's doctor NEVER did the sleep testing.
Prime's doctor screens you based on set of multiple indicators and either passes you or puts you on hold and refers you to Sleep Pointe until a sleep study is conducted.
After sleep study is conducted you either get a two year card if you pass the sleep study, or you get a 3 month card if you fail the study and you are issued the machine. At three months, your usage is reviewed and the doc will give you a one year DOT Physical card if everything is good. -
some people are confused between the terms screening, and testing.Avi8er Thanks this.

After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, O&S Trucking will make its case before the court June 5 to grant it the privilege to a business relationship with fellow truckload carrier Prime Inc.
The two Springfield, Mo., companies had reached an agreement before O&S filed its May 30 petition in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. The court has granted the O&S emergency motion to expedite the hearing to affiliate with the 4,000-truck Prime.
Last month, O&S principal Jim O'Neal stepped down during his second term as Springfield mayor after stating business and personal issues required his full attention, according to city council meeting minutes.
The owner of the 300-truck refrigerated carrier also resigned recently as an American Trucking Associations vice chairman. O'Neal had served as the 2007-2008 Truckload Carriers Association chairman, a position Robert Low, president of Prime, assumed last March.
The Chapter 11 petition lists equity security holders as O'Neal, with 142,000 shares, and the 31-year-old company's employee stock ownership trust, which has 79,403 shares. It estimated its liabilities to be $10-$50 million and assets to be less than $50,000.
The affiliation the companies want approved would allow O&S to retain 80 percent of its revenue, but use Prime's buying power for fuel and rolling stock. It would grant O&S access to Prime's rolling stock and additional freight business from the larger company's customer base. Prime would assume administrative, accounting and marketing functions.

You sir speak of things you know nothing about. cpap has nothing to do with oxygen. It simply increases air pressure thru the breathing passage in order to keep it from closing off during sleep and waking the person. It helps you get restfull sleep. As someone who suffered from sleep apnea I can tell you that this machine has literally saved my life. I have lost over 100 lbs of weight and my blood pressure has dropped from 160/100 on meds to 130 over 85 w/o meds. It's not crap, it's a life saver for those that need it.

NO. Prime does the testing.
-
well, not exactly. Prime contracts Sleep Pointe to do the testing.
-
True. Point being, if it is deemed you need one, you can and will get one there.U2Exit and Newtrucker83 Thank this.

Well then,
Thanks for setting us straight on the apnea/CPAP deal. There seem to be enough posts here now that describe the issue in great detail. If you need it, you get it. No big deal. Does not seem like a scam, but a way to keep drivers healthy and therefore safer out there.
Do I hear an AYmen?
FBNewtrucker83 Thanks this. -
