The second phase of training after you've got your CDL.

 

Thanks for all the info. I plan I making my pick within a couple of months on which path i will take.

 

The more fun part lol Im no longer a "student", Im a trainee I can drive the truck by myself, without someone in the passenger seat. Now Im learning more about how to do the job. As my trainer told me "my job is to teach you how to be a trucker, not a student." Now I interact with the customer and learn the paperwork/qualcomm side of things. Im being prepared to have my own truck. Is that right IP?

Yup... now that we let you take the instructional student wheels off, we need to get you ready to do this truckin' stuff fer real!

 

LOL I like doin it for real lol My instructor showed me how to do all the qualcomm stuff, live load calls, the paperwork.... Was a funny feeling though lookin over at the passenger seat the first time and there being no one in it lol

 

Looks like I am about two weeks ahead of you Open road. Also found it weird with no one in the next seat after getting my license. I am about 10 to 11K into my TNT. Did you hear about the mileage change. Only 30 k of TNT then upgrade. Right now i am home in Va. Bch. Heading back out tomorrow

 

Not only does Prime have its own CDL school, but IMO the BEST in the industry! TOtally unbiased opinion from a proud Prime driver and Prime CDL school alum!

 

Ya lol Knowin that there is no one up in that seat to help ya out takes some getting used to lol Im not sure how many miles Im into my TNT. My trainer has bronchitis so were down until at least friday. Hoping to back on the road soon though. Ya I heard bout the change, from this forum actually lol Hoping I can learn enough in that 30,000 to get my own truck. Not a fan of living with someone

I can see that your unbiased KS lol I graduated from the PSD part, hope to graduate from the TNT part in couple of months. A proud Prime Associate!!!

 

We are stuck sitting at tyson in Glen allen VA. Waiting for bulk chicken parts to go to another tyson plant In Georgia. It's 8:00 pm we have been here since noon. Our drop dead isn't till 3:00 am. this part of it sucks

 

HAHA LOL TYSON = Trucker Your Sitting Over Night. Been there done that lol
