Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Yes, they do. Take it or leave it.
Seriously though, at Prime, you will wind up in something far better than most rookies get at other places. For instance, I am currently in a Schneider truck that is seven years old, has over a million miles, and smells like an ashtray. I came here over a year ago with 14 years experience. You will see nothing like this at Prime. -
Company drivers can choose whatever truck they want..... as long as the key Prime gives them fits it. Lease guys can hand pick from the trucks that are available. Once a truck reaches 600,000 miles they sell it to swift or somebody else. Then they buy a new truck to replace it.
-
You know there are only about half a dozen or so key variations between the trucks?
Thats why you'll never have to give a key to the shop at the terminal. Park the truck and do whatever you want, they'll come get it, fix it and park it... toughest part is searching the lot where they parked it.
I heard we have keyless entry trucks now. Mine still requires a key.
First rule of getting locked out of your truck (before keyless), was to round up all available Prime drivers you could find at the truck stop, and try their keys first. -
I'll keep that in mind lol I hope this trailer isn't ours.... it looks heavy.... and a pita to strap down
-
I got my door open once with a key from a KLLM Cascadia. It wasn't the right key, but I made it work.
-
I wish you luck AZ.... my best advice is don't lease there but perhaps you can provide a true rebuttal to what I know about their lease program.
One thing I can tell you is if he's still there, Buddy Hall in Salt Lake is an excellent DM -
Thank you. I don't believe their lease program is for everyone. I also don't believe it is the best plan for ownership, because it rarely, if ever happens. But for someone who understands how to run a trucking business, without the capital and/or credit to own their own truck, it is possible that it is a viable alternative to remaining a company driver, with the potential to make more money than a company driver does.

Could any current drivers or possible trainers elaborate on how Prime matches a newbie with a trainer. Thanks
-
With the trainer, not instructor, they factor in where each of yall live, if ya smoke....etc
