Prime Inc driver thread

I have had my permit a couple weeks now ready to get started on the 23rd

 

Good deal! Just over a week away... Ya ready?

 

I have been ready, needed to give current employer 2 weeks notice they asked if i could stay a month to train someone, told them i gotta go,

i went 2 weeks ago got my DOT Physical, then next day got CDL Permit, went to local passport office and applied for Passport.

I was even gonna go last week and apply for TWIC Card but found out it would take a couple weeks and would have to go back to the office in Nashville to pick it up and knew i wouldn't be around here by then.

can ya tell i'm PUMPED for PRIME ??

my last day in law enforcement is this coming WED

 

any trainers out there from around Middle TN needing a Trainee the week of 4-23-2012?
or anywhere in the US for the most part, I'm gonna be ready to learn

I have been reading everything i can find, already even know alot about elogs, got a decent grip on HOS, pretrip, just need some behind the wheel time

so whats ur take on the company

 

i read the companys info and went through the site with a fine tooth comb and see great things but i would like to ask some of the current drivers fore prime on pay and how well drivers are treated every one hears the horror stories bout different companys and so fourth .

There is a list of positves and negatives, but the positve list is long, and the negative is short. If you look through TTR, I doubt you could find many current "this company screwed me" posts about Prime. There have been quite a few people, I included, that have posted their experiences. There will always be ups and downs, and some people just suck at life, but the equipment, network, policies, structure, and freight make Prime INC a bit better than most others. I think that their CDL training is a step above the rest, but limited by the people doing the training. I had a great trainer that taught me alot more than just driving the truck. I am a name person, being that my name on something is no joking matter, and I rarely put my reputation or name on something. If I do, I hope that it carries weight and I don't screw someone over. I would recommend this company over most others.
