Prime, Inc. evidently does not like a veteran....

    I was bussed to the Campus Inn in Springfield, MO on Monday. Overall not a bad deal until the first day of inprocessing. I went through the entire packet, drug screen, pre-hire interview, etc. I went all the way through the DOT physical before the S*** for brains doctor there refused to pass me without the notes from my last visit with BOTH my psychiatrist and psychologist that I was seeing periodically for the PTSD I came home with after a 15 month trip to Baghdad. I showed them the separation physical that I was required to undergo prior to discharge from the Army. On this collection of paperwork it clearly stated "PTSD-Cleared by Psychiatry". They still needed the visit notes. I called the Docs I used to see and was informed that on my date of discharge the notes were placed in my medical records and sealed. Not even I can obtain these records.

    I suggested to my recruiter that I go talk with the owner of the company and was cursed out for "threatening" her when I simply gave her my options as I saw them. Any company that will have a recruiter deliberately give 10+ reasons for not taking advantage of an open-door policy put in place for new hires goes way beyond the acceptable limits of shadiness (with 6 years in the Army my limits are well beyond the limits of most).

    The head of security #### near forced me to go against the most important thing protecting our forces today (OPSEC) regarding my wife's upcoming deployment to Afghanistan, going as far as yelling at me to let me know that he is a Gulf War veteran and former FBI. I simply asked him how many IEDs he has been hit by, duly noted the absence of response, and informed him that he can "ask the ########## FBI about my wife's deployment if it is so important." The recruiter called and told me that she had purchased a ticket home for me, which after being refunded the $100 app fee was great news. I walked into the bus terminal only to have to shell out $88 dollars for my ticket.

    I would not recommend that anyone go to Prime, Inc. unless you are somehow related directly to the Pope. In one day they washed out more than half of the class. One guy was sent home for a juvie thing that happened when he was 13 yrs old. He was taken to the police station for being out after curfew. Really people!?!?!

    Sorry for the rant, but I simply cannot allow people to be taken advantage of unnecessarily .

    Just another Day at the Driver Mill. Sorry the Job to drive for them didn't work out. But there are plenty of good companies willing to Hire A Vet , Stay Tough!

    I am scheduled for the CRST program. I have very low expectations going in this time. I will stick out the contract requirements and make a decision then.

    Brother look at it this way...... Prime has a very long record of screwing people over. I think you saved yourself some pain by not going with them. There are good companies that will hire vets.... Keep your head up and keep us posted at CRST.

    That is good advice above,and what happened to you seems to be the way of the world.I am starting to think like an old man,so bare with me from this point on,but although I was a bit to young for the Vietnam War,I had 2 brothers there in combat arms who were In-Country.When they both returned,they both encountered to some extent the "Vietnam Stigma," even though we grew up in rural Mn. The pain and horrors and madness they both endured and saw,yet when they returned were treated with indifference,(if lucky) or rudeness,or plain violence,coming from people who did not,and still don't,have a clue. In fact,after my 3 years in the military,I attended a Vo-Tech in the Twin Cities,(1982) and the instructor there told my class during a lesson on how to prepare a resume,that,if anyone served in Vietnam,to stay quiet about it,as it would ruin chances of employment.......Enough of the Vietnam era,my point is it is not fair for you coming back from the Middle East,but to an extent,it has always been this way,as there are no shortage of people who cannot,or will not empathize,as all they are concerned about is their little corner of the world.-(selfish) I commend you on your service,and now,as I have two sons serving,I cannot wait for their return,AND the problems that will bring....,at least they will be home..... Keep tryin,and everything will work out.,-just laugh at all the stupid people you will run into during your life,ad you will always be guaranteed a smile...

    Sweet.... I will keep watching for it. I ETS late 2012 so I will be doing some searching around the companies to try to get back in.

    Well in the Army we are taught these 7 little words known as "Values" and "Integrity" is one of those. I guess old habit die hard.

    I learned to pay attention and follow directions. Also I got a copy of my entire medical file upon discharge. Sealed records sounds like something to hide excuse.

    It's also been posted around the Prime areas of this forum. Medical clearances will be need to be provided by the treating Dr. for any recent condition. (some say go back 5 years, others say 10) Further information maybe required, so make sure you bring the information needed to contact the Dr. Again, the webpage above offers up enough to warrant a discussion with a recruiter on exactly what you will need to bring. I know some people have even been transferred to the Doc office to get the specifics of what he wants to review.

    A separation physical is only compared to your entrance exam as a baseline to determine a disability incurred while in service and whether any benefits should be awarded.
