BTW BigKid2 wasnt "outed" in a sexual prefrence way

Ironpony's correct term should have been "ratted out" or "tattled on"

It's a gamble and probaby a lot like stock. You can buy low right now. Those who got trucks 2 years ago have had a terrible stretch. If you're a gambler and think freight will pick up by 3rd quarter and can float for a few months... well just maybe nows a good time.

    GET YER OWN TRUCK THOUGH.

Again, BigKid, as you have been told before you are renting an office (in this case a truck) from which to conduct your business. No different than most busnesses in your home town. All those expenses are tax-deductible business expenses.

Why rent the office for a few years when you can buy it for less though? Hell you would be better off going to Selecttrucks if your credit is bad and buying one that way.

Do they supposedly specialize in bad credit? I had heard they were a good deal and place to go regardless. Their prices online look good.

Heck it looks like they're giving a bunch away just for the price of a phone call.

I see a bunch that say PRICE: CALL

No no sexual reasons I am straight as an arrow.

I was fired for disconnecting the speakers on the Iteris lane exit warning system which I was technically leasing from them so I should of been able to disconnect if I want right? I mean I was the owner of my business and should be able to make those decisions. No they just want you to foot the cost but not make a decision like that. I have been driving almost 11 years now with no accidents I don't need the thing going off it gets annoying.

Tip: Try signalling before you exit the lane.

It would go off occasionally when I was perfectly centered in the lane. I took it to their shop and they couldn't get me in for 2 days which i was not going to wait so I put up with it for quite awhile til I started training and it kept waking me and trainee up so I disconnected it. I never liked all that crap anyways after 11 years no accidents I think I can go without the training wheels. How I got caught is trainee wanted to go with a different trainer because the other trainer would put up with his crap more than I would so he reported it to safety. I would of left there eventually anyways so I am actually glad it happened because I left before economy got real bad.

All the pitfalls of ownership have also been listed elsewhere. There are advantages either way. The greatest risk is in ownership and leasing would be a first good step in that direction as most leases offer a walkaway clause. If buying and you can't make it, you have to try to sell that asset and until you do you are still on the hook for the weekly payment. Same if the purchase truck breaks down. No income but still an expectation to pay the weekly payment. Most leases, Prime's in particular, will provide you a loaner until the other is fixed. That way you still have an income to cover the weekly payment.
