Does anyone have any insight on this company? Also about their Apprentice Driver Program? They want me to attend this program for orientation on the 4th. They are paying for me to get there and everything.

I actually have not found much negativity, mostly good things. What do you know?

SJ209.. just go to the sub forum (Motor Carrier Questions.. The Inside Scoop) Above that forum you will see a bunch of different trucking companies. Look for Prime and click on it. You will see every thread that has anything to do with Prime . Good luck.

I went to MO. to check out company they are a large have over 4800+ truck nice rigs and great training, but you won't get paid much for at least a year. start is 10 to 12 cents a mile and you'll be team drive.

Lets be honest here... that .10 and .12 is training pay for team miles with a garuantee of $500 and $600 minimum. that is over 60k to 50k miles training. (.10/$500 is for Non-Prime CDL grads with no experiance pay for the first 4 weeks then bumped to the .12/600)

Starting pay for solos is .30 and bumped up to .34 after the first 10k miles.

Training time varies on completing the miles. Factors depend on how quickly you get a trainer. How often the Trainer takes hometime, and how often the Trainee requests hometime.

My last trainee went home 4 times and it took him about 4.5 months to complete the 60k and he didnt go to Prime's CDL school. When I started back in 08, I went to Primes CDL school (an extra 4-5 weeks), took no hometime and was solo in the same amount of time 4.5 months.

Oh and the gaurantee minimum ($500/$600) is paid as long as you are on the truck all 7 days of the pay period. If your trainer wants to go home and you dont, well it may suck to camp out in the truck, but you still get paid. Now if you go home, you are only paid the .10/.12 for the miles completed while you were on the truck that week.

So any miles the truck completes over 5k is better than the garuantee. My trainee got 1/4 of my fuel bonus, and split of any stop pay after that 5k miles too.

2008 - $16,178 (started solo early Aug after training)
    2009 - $47,318
    2010 - $54,944 + 2 more paychecks

The 2008 numbers dont include my training pay accumulated before going Solo, as I didnt keep detailed track of those numbers.
