They're going to get the fixed costs on the truck & trailer, plus the variable incurred costs like fuel, tolls, etc. no matter what kind of revenue you generated during the given settlement period.

Being an L/O or O/O is not for the faint of heart. I do wish you well.

Per week truck payments are a bad idea.

A lease can work on dedicated runs or a team operation but forget it if your solo otr. I speak from experience.

Your always going to struggle unless you either team or become a trainer ( parateam ). The over head associated with your lease is WTF over whelming.
Anyone from the company that says blah, blah, time of the year, holiday, weekend, blah. blah, dispatch usually doesn't do this, blah, blah; ask them if you can use any of those excuses / explanations in lieu of a dollar amount for some of the deductions on the settlement.
If it were me, I would not even be looking at that company as a long term strategy. If you have enough time in, you can go to work for other people that pay percentage, and do much better. If your finiacially solvent enough you can buy a used truck and do the same.
If you don't have the time in, or your not financially strong enough at the moment, then your going to have to suck it up butter cup, until you are.
Like I said I'd have a longer term plan that involves using these guys as a stepping stone.

Looks to me like you need to generate $2500 / week before you make a dime. I mean you no disrespect, I truly do not, but you have to be on drugs to get into something like that thinking your going to make some decent money with a company like that. That is an ENORMOUS nut to crack every week. And you will never own the truck. BBnxVSb.png

It's been a bad few weeks for me as a company driver. I've spent more time babysitting loads than making money. I could have got on the phone and said something but it's nice to have a break once in a while.

I would say, see what happens in 2-3 more weeks.
