I'm still looking at company truck driving schools and like the program with Prime. This lightweight truck makes me a little nervous. I can deal with the lack of storage and adapt, but I'm 6'8" and can do nothing about that! Is the mattress in these trucks the same XL twins as in a normal truck? Those are 80" in length and my exact height.

I am 6"6' I am going to prime in august just haven't picked a date yet there is no way I can fit in a lw truck is there any way for me to get a full size truck on the refer sized or will I have to go flatbed to get one.

If you're big enough they'll probably give ya a full-size. Or a ProStar
Mobileguy1981 Thanks this. -
The lightweights are mostly midroofs - if you know what that is. The Cascadias are certainly the same width as the condos, but I couldn't swear to the interior height. Prostars have more headroom. Policy is that company drivers get what's available on the day you show up at the leasing office - they control all truck assignments. Flatbed is certainly an option to get you into a condo. It's also rather easy to switch divisions once you're out of training. Company trainers and team drivers also are assigned condos.
Two thoughts... if the size of a lightweight really is a problem you can always work with your FM to get into a different truck. Outside of the length front to back, a lightweight is about the same size as a Pete 379.Mobileguy1981 and <Archangel> Thank this. -
I don't want to go into it asking for anything special. I'm not really that type of guy. -
Ive seen guys who were...."good sized" get a Prostar which has more room. Ive been in every kind of truck Prime operates (shouldntve left the keys in it). The Prostar is very nice and has good room.

They started giving LW trucks to flatbed also

I told my recruiter yesterday I was 6'8" while asking about the BMI because mines just a hair over 39 and he said he'd have to message a supervisor about my being too tall for a lightweight....... Hope that isn't a bad sign!
