Yup... best thing to do is get something to occupy yourself, get into the hold loop, and kick back until a "people" answers the phone. Its not that they're ignoring you, its that they are SLAMMED!.

I must be lucky.... the one I've spoken to twice (they did get her a new phone BTW - so I could actually understand her the 2nd time) has picked right up both times I've called her extension.

I'm leaving Sunday. I'll keep you posted as to how it goes. She has joined some groups online with other truckers wives, and has decided to do some volunteer work with my daughter to keep them occupied while I'm gone.

Thanks. I was in a job before where I was away all week. I would fly back in late Fri. night or early Sat. morning, and leave again Sun. night. So, by the time I did my laundry and ate, it seemed I was leaving again. After a couple weeks, she got used to it. Shes a strong woman, we've been married 11 years, I think we'll be OK. My 9 year old on the other hand, it will take a bit for her, I think.

If thats what you want to do then good for you.
I am not getting into driving because I need a job. I am a Heavy Equipment Operator and make very good money, and I'm home every night. It is a chioce. It's something I've always wanted to do, and I'm not being forced into it, like alot of people I've talked to.
