case by case what they will do is do a sleep study on you because they believe that to be an indicator os sleep apnea just keep moving toward going they will keep you informed....lol so long as you are smart enough to ask the Q;s lol now as far as what they do if you have sleep apnea i have no idea youd have to ask them

I read on another post that the cutoff was 39. The post was about 8 mo. old, so I have no idea. Suggest you give them a call.

Yeah, Im hoping 39. Yeah I'm just so impatient and restless and havent ben able to get ahold of them through the holiday. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. Thanks mspain and theunfortunate. Also, do they usually take pretty long to get the ball rolling? I have been trying to get and orientation for a week and a half. I havent been asked for any paperwork faxed or anything? I'm sure they are not quite as desperate to get new drivers compared to some lower paying options. Starting to get antsy. I talked to a recruiter only one time. Called many times, leaft messages, no return call.

If you're close to the limit, loose 10 lbs. That will usually put your BMI low enough to be off of the radar.

It's actually a bigger issue being pushed by the FMCSA and NTSB - overtired, fatigued operators are showing up more and more in transportation accidents - across different modes. There's no definite correlation yet, but to protect themselves from being sued in case of an accident the trucking industry is being pro-active on sleep apnea.

Point of fact... if you have it, you stop breathing maybe hundreds of times a night. It makes you tired, but its also killing you. The lack of oxygen in your bloodstream is slowly killing your internal organs. BMI and necksize correlate closely to 80% of who is affected - that doesn't mean a skinny, pencil-necked person can't have it too.

    TheUnfortunate Thanks this.

BMI = Body Mass Index. It measures how fat you are. Put it in a google search, and you'll come up with all of the info you'd ever care to have about it.l'
