    Work on it some more. Hint. Right after you fuel up, the ECM is showing your close-to-instantaneous fuel consumption. Look at the sensortracks page on the QualComm... it has a fuel used counter.

    Slow down... if you don't need the speed to make an appointment, then you're probably going too fast.

    Just some of the stuff I've noticed...

    Deadhead miles are a gift... always take them slow as you can to pad your mileage.

    Don't accelerate up hills.

    Don't let your cruise power you down a hill... use gravity as much as possible.

    Never run a load heavy on the tandems - if you're going to Cali go tandem-heavy at the border.

    Yup... and it makes the loaded parts of the run much easier to deal with. Especially helps with stuff like a 45,000 lb load over the mountains of PA - or something like that.

    I usually run 55 but I need to make CHDSLC tommorow to have a chance to deliver this early in Sacramento Monday night. Im looking at win win here if I can pull it off. Miles on this weeks check, and start my vacation week off early.

    Dropped and hooked in Carson a few hrs ago, about 6 hours earlier then our appt. Sitting at the T/A in Ontario waiting to load in Colton in the AM for Sterling, IL.

    Sitting in Pilot outside of St Louis now, cant drop out load til Monday morning. Been here since yesterday morning. My trainer is a good guy, but hes a pig, stinky azzz feet, and doesnt shower, truck was a pig sty when i got in it, so yesterday I went and bought a vacuem cleaner and some cleaner and scrubbed the inside of the truck down thouroughly. Now all i have to do is get him to clean himself.

    Yeah, its gonna be a work in progress I think. Sad thing is, i think im getting used to the smell, which scares the BEEP outtah me.
