Coming down Parleys today saw a 4 wheeler that had obviously not read the many signs stating "WATCH FOR SLOW VEHICLES. USE CAUTION IN RIGHT LANES" and drove right up under the back of a trailer.:biggrin_25513:

People just dont pay no mind to anything. That right there is exactly why we have the ICC bumpers. No matter what, it will be the truck wholl get a ticket cause of someone else being stupid.

Otw to our 01 right now, about 250 miles so far, averaging 8.6 now. Keep in mind, when we got 5.6, we were just under 80k going uphill the entire way.

In case you are not aware, the cut off for fuel mileage is Friday night/early Saturday morning. Your average MPG between Jan 7 and Jan 13 is what you'll see on the QC message tomorrow, and what will be used to calculate your fuel bonus.

    da1 Thanks this.

    Winter, winter, winter.

Fuel blend, and cold temps are working against you.

If your fuel milage doesn't improve as the weather gets warm in two months, then you have a problem.

I was freaking out my first winter. My first winter was when the company mininmum requirement was 6.25mpg. So if I was freaking out then... Then I must have been under the limit.

Management puts the microscope away during winter.

I had just had two weeks at 6.5 and below. Last week was 7.4. This week will be closer to 8.

Slow freight, bad weather, poor fuel milage equals winter blues.

Winter blues is just one more reason to take Sazooks cue and try and spend your winter doing something other than trucking.
