So I had my first bad experience with Prime. I got 2 days of sometime this last weekend. Arrived on Friday night at 7:40 pm, got back on the truck Monday morning at 7am. Ok all good so far. Then I got my paycheck, and I was charged for 3 days of sometime. So I called patrol and was told to call my fm. FM told me that my pay was correct. Said that I was home for 3 days. So I dally explained to him the times I arrived and departed, and he told me that during trying home time goes by the hours and technically I was off the truck for 60 hours so therefore the system charges me for 3 days. I asked fm if he thought it was fair, and his reply was "I Was a trucker for 28 years, and yes I think this is fair." So I told him that im not gonna get into a pissing match with the guy that controls my future, and I kindly said thanks and got off the phone. If I would have known this was gonna happen I would have spent my 3rd day of home time at home rather then in a truck on a dispatched load. Other then that, im still loving Prime.

You learn something new every day (LOL) ,,,,, If memory serves, when you take home time (sometime) you revert to miles 12cents or whatever per mile for the week. Don't crossover your hometime (sometime) on a tuesday (payroll cut) or you will have two weeks of unfair pay. I agree with your FM, sounds fair to me...

Yeah I don't disagree with my FM, I just would have liked to have known so I could have actually used my third day for my family

Well finally back on the road again after spending 5 days sitting at my trainers house for his home time. Good to be back OTR. Need about 8000 more miles before I should be elidgable for upgrade. This trip should help, total dispatched miles 2100. Then hopefully a long trip back to the East coast. Take care and drive safe everyone.

Was sitting at his house for 5 days your idea? So did he let you stay in his house? If not and you were in the truck for the 5 days that would not have been my idea.:biggrin_25510: I would have insisted on a hotel room. Even if he invited me to stay at his house, i would have not been comfortable staying there and would have wanted a hotel room. Oh well.... anyway if he did let you stay in his house that was nice of him to do so.:yes2557:

I had a choice to get a hotel, but I'd rather get a paycheck. So I stayed in the truck. His wife made me come in and eat dinner with there family, so it wasn't so bad. When you spend every second of the day with a guy for 3 weeks there really isn't a whole lot that can make you uncomfortable.

This sounds like a well adjusted trainee to me! :biggrin_25519:
Good luck getting your remaining miles to upgrade.
