Does Prime have teams? Not looking to L/O or O/O simple company drivers as a team?

    Thanks

Maybe its just me. But I look at this way. The more training you get the better. I have sat on these forums and watched people come in and talk about getting fired over issues that all could have been corrected with just a little more training.

I'd rather spend 80k miles with Prime and know I got all the training I could possibly get then do some 3 week School and end up backing the truck into another truck a month later.

No better way to learn then from experience.

Yup we do company teams, and have plenty of team freight.

Wasn't it someone who said, "Experience comes from having made bad decisions"

(I do agree that short cutting training is inviting problems)

Personally, I like Stevens in general. I've been here since Dec 2010. While I find some of their policies ridiculous and not geared towards the real world, I understand that it's a training company and it's designed for those of us who started in trucking with zero experience. So yes, they're going to have policies that are aimed at making the drivers go slooooow. Like 30mph on a ramp and 10 under if the posted speed is 30 or under.

I loved their training, even though it took awhile, so I felt fully prepared when I went on the grad fleet for 3 months. Now I'm off grad fleet and will *hopefully* be teaming with my friend.

They do have a Nazi attitude when it comes to safety. I took off a mudflap and had to go through a road test, multiple backing tests, watching like 3-4 DVDs, and listen to a CD. Seems excessive for something that minor considering I was hard enough on myself about it. But that's Stevens. Despite that and a few other minor things, I'm pretty happy here and will hopefully be here for awhile unless a better opportunity comes knocking.

your best bet is to contact them. just call the 1800 number and ask to be directed to a recruiter.

they usually won't call you. and if they email you, the email just says call them.
