Another thing I was wondering, I have seen some other companies have some sort of idling policy? I noticed in this thread I believe, that you have to maintain a certain mpg at Prime, do they also have any sort of idling policy? Do they have APU's? Opti-idle? Thanks for all the great info, sorry for so many questions

Most every truck at Prime has an APU. There are different brands. I like the Thermo King TriPak the best.

    Ledbowtie Thanks this.

I just went through Prime's PSD program.... I wouldn't go to another company... you learningn far more with Prime than you would any other place. The training is hands on just you and your instructor. After you get your CDL, you got a job.....

    Ledbowtie Thanks this.

I appreciate your info. I have read your thread as well as CAGE, and Seebs threads. And they have all been very informative and very helpful in my decision making. Prime really sounds like a great company to get you started.

Haha oh yea, definitely going with Prime. My friend works for FFE and they sound like a decent company and all, but I'm not crazy about such a short training period. I like to be well prepared to do things on my own. And the schooling at Prime sounds better suited for me. I really appreciate it! Gonna get in contact with a recruiter this week!

No. You still have to take the physical at Prime to be hired.
