Prime: Orientation and Training?

I filled out the app today and called the 1-800 number and they said there is a 12-15 month waiting list for females.

 

Wow, 12 to 15 month waiting list?

 

I have a weird question. How wide are the trucks? I need to figure out if it'll fit in front of my house and not get in the way of people driving by.

 

Put my app in today after narrowing down my short list. Might be in Jun 2 class also. Supposed to know for sure Friday.

 

sweet. Did you talk to your recruiter? It took mine about a week to get my work history verified.

 

Yeah, talked to a recruiter. She said to call back on Friday and check the status with everything but my app looked good.

 

Cool, Whats your recruiters name? mines is Tabitha, she seems pretty cool but its hell trying to get a hold of her. lol

After reviewing your Prime training experience I am considering them as a starter company. Does Prime take students with CDLs? I got mine early summer 2007 (I was a Corporate guy for the past 25+ years and now I'm laid off like everyone else) Would I have to go thru training all over again and sign a work contract?

Also, I read somewhere that Prime will not take you if you've been out of work more than 5 months - given this economy, does that requirement make ANY sense at all, especially if you never driven a truck for a living and are looking to switch careers? Thanks
