The deal is that they only have so many flatbed trainers. So rather than send you home and wait for weeks on a flatbed trainer, the send you out with reefer to get some miles under your belt, learn the system...etc. Last 30 days will be with a Flatbedder, and that will be for load securement training.... From what I understand... flatbed trainers are only taking load securment trainees for the 30 days only. all other miles are made with reefer.
Hey U2 EXIT, You are from Williamsburg. You still live there? I would love to ask You some questions. Thinking about Prime rite after New Years. Talked to Julie. All good here. Just want to get some other questions answered.
I dont live there physically, but it is one of the places I take home time. I lived there for 14 years and have lots of friends in the Tidewater area. Ask away. If you are wondering if its easy to get loads in and out.... YES... We run regular loads out of the Budweiser plant, Daily.... Enough so that when Prime sends me home, that is where my trailer is stored. The army exchange wharehouse for Ft. Eustis gets regular loads from Nestle via Prime. Ive done one, and my lumper at the time says we are in at least once a week with a Nestle load. Ice cream in/out of Richmond... Food products into suffolk... are just some of the loads I have seen or done. Feel free to ask me any questions, and I will try and answer them for you.
Well that answered the biggest one. What is Primes take truck home policy? Some companys say 6 ft tall fence and all that stuff.. I have a 3 acre yard, plenty of room to park. Going as a B1 driver. Julie says 20,000 and i will be ready for solo. I have seem alot about Prime.I know its what You make of it. Your view of prime,Is that prime is a good company to start with? Going to Pittston Jan 12th. Any pointers or advice? Thanks for any help..
