Correct me if I am wrong... you will eventually train your girlfriend or spouse?

If so, together you will be making the same amount as a Full team while training... you simply wont be splitting 50/50 with her....

I am training right now... Together my trainee and I make the full pay of a Company Team with the raises I have acumulated at the set milage markers... however, he gets .12 of that pay and 40 percent of the fuel bonus... the rest, I keep... If he was a full "A" seat and my co-driver it would be 50/50

Starting Company Team pay is as follows... .40/mile empty and loaded, plus up to .04/mile fuel bonus, plus .10/mile for each mile over 3500 (team bonus).

While training your significant other you will get .28/mile, plus the .10 team bonus, plus 60% of the fuel bonus. Your trainee, will get her .12 (.12+.28=.40)...

Final thing... If your truck doesnt get 5k miles for that week(.12 x 5k=600) your trainee is gauranteed $600 as long as she doesnt take a hometime day for that pay period. Any hometime in a given paycheck negates the $600 gaurantee, and only the .12/mile applies.

She finishes training, upgrades, you team full time, and the split becomes 50/50... I dont know how or if the difference in milage markers for raises apply.

Thanks U2, you guys are a great help for Prime prospective drivers. They should reconize you guys for that great help.

Yeah, that's correct. I want to train my wife.

But my only point is: my recruiter told me there is a company policy that requires a minimum of 90 days as Prime qualified driver to be accepted as trainer. She told me "I must drive 90 days as C/D or L/Op and this period doesn't count your time with your trainner to be able to train her".

So, it's 30 days for my trainning + 90 days as C/Drvr or L/Op waiting ok to be Trainner = 120 days.
Starting now, I'll be able have her as my "student" only February 2010. I don't think this is a good deal. Do you?

2th: I'm considering to join any other company just to make this 2 more months necessary to meet Prime requirements (8 months OTR according recruiter) to start us straight as a team. Doing this we'll be hypothetically able to start up together in december/09. What do you think?

    Thank you sr!

Yeah, its 90 days. As for your 30 days with a trainer, who is telling you it is 30 days? I ask this because, Prime training periods are determined by miles... The only time I ever hear of any training situation determined by 30 days is for Flatbedders and their load securment training.

Last, I would get a definante answer on this idea of going to another company for a couple months... A disqualifier can be too many jobs in a set period of time. (I dont know the specific time frame)

Will she be like you and have 8 months OTR when hired? If not you will still have to wait 90 days to train her...

Rules of the board... personal attacks are verbotten. You don't like it, complain to the management. I try to keep it a little above the 6th grade recess level y'all are dabbling in.

Just a GENERAL question: How do you "ignore" some stupid slob you don't want to see posts from anymore? I've never felt the need before, so I haven't figured it out yet..

    later, after a little research:

Cool! I figured it out! For those who are feeling the need, as I just did: It's in UserCP, edit ignore list, and add that name to your list. It's the first time I ever actually had to go there because I was so sick of hearing from some complete idiot who was unable to add any redeeming value, and I've seen some real garbage around here. That's nice...it's like taking out the trash! I feel so empowered. LOL

Hey U2, I start my CDL training October 13th in Mo. I wanted to check with you and see if maybe I could get you as my trainer when friday rolls around that week? I'm 30 yrs old, I have my CDL permit already, all males in the family have been truck drivers and my father retired off the road of 30 years, so it's in my blood, I'm a very good driver and a sponge when it comes to learning about trucks. I would really like to get you as my trainer, I have been reading your post for about a year now and I think it would be great to get trained by you. Let me know what you think. My email is jrodallred27@aol.com if u can help out, if ur training someone already then maybe I could see when ur finishing with that student and I could come in after that training is done.

U2 retired from this site a couple of weeks or so ago. He got tired at the crap thrown at us by the negative posters. I'll pass this along to him. I believe he has a trainee for another couple of months...
