Keep a positive attitude and you'll be fine.

The biggest thing is DON'T LIE!! As they say "if we know about it, we can work with you." Five people were sent home on my first day, and several more throughout the week...all for not being honest somewhere or another throughout the application and interview process. If you are not sure about something, put it down and put ?? beside it and then they will ask you about it. One guy almost was sent home because he had 3 dates wrong on his app and they though he was lying/hiding something. Everything else was fine so they let him stay.

There is no such thing as a sealed or expunged record. Our head of security is former FBI (most of our security is from FBI and Police) and knows where and how to look for your background check. There is a reason for all this, as you will see if you make it to the last day.

Overall I think this is a really great company to work with. I have been around trucking all my life. I've heard all sorts of bad things about this place, but after coming here I have been blown away more than once at how driver oriented this company is. This is the first company EVER that I have even seen the owner, not to mention sit at the same table and talk to him while eating breakfast.

Mr. Low isn't some snooty CEO type that thinks the drivers are scum. He use to drive and it still shows when you talk to him for a bit. I'm not saying he's all holy and perfect (no one is) but I can tell you I'd rather work with him for a month than a year at any other company I've ever dealt with.

Over all, just enjoy yourself here. If you have a problem, talk to someone who actually has the power to do something about it (notice I didn't say driver!) Good luck and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Oh yeah. You need to report everything. Lie and get caught and its a quick trip to the bus station without a paid ticket home.

    Donnyh Thanks this.

U2 is absolutely right... don't try to conceal anything, because they are really good at finding out about it - end of career in trucking. I don't know about Prime, but many companies will put an entry on your DAC report indicating the untruthfulness. That's a career killer.

As far as high BP is concerned, a lot of us have it - get it under control. Taking a med for it is not a problem. They'll just issue you a 1 year medical card instead of a 2-year card.
