Wow. They waste no time here. Just showed up and we're all heading to the simulators already. Nice

 

What's the simulator like? How difficult is the testing?

Can someone who passed their CDL practical exam pass it with no difficulties?

 

I'm gonna guess it's cake. Those who have a CDL or permit have to go at 4PM, the rest of us by 7PM tonight! What I was told, it's just to practice shifting, just about it. :/ No idea. Will let you know when I can unless you get here by then

My getting there is kind of strange. I'm flying Boston>Miami>Dallas>Springfield. My only complaint is that I only have 50 minutes in Miami

 

Should be interesting getting through Joplin bus station... not the best one and with the twister that hit yesterday. Hows Springfield fairing?

Woot, thought too far ahead They just needed us at the simulator room to get our application packet stuff and a missouri CDL thing (if you've no CDL) to study. Three simulators in there, looked like fun. The setups surround you a bit and you sit in a somewhat setup of a truck's interior, complete with stick shift. The head honcho there was (playfully?) harassing someone there about driving (kept shifting into neutral, d'oh!). Ah well. Class tomorrow at 7AM sharp, BBradUMA! Get sleep as soon as you get here I'm in room 236, you'll probably see me there tomorrow (look for the fat asian guy with glasses).

 

Was your orientation scheduled to start tomorrrow? Mine says the 25th. I wonder if it is different for C seats?

My buddy from CDL school is on the bus headed out there right now. He's arriving in at 11:00PM tomorrow night and I'm in around 11:30PM.

Yup it is. And don't be following the D-seats around thinking they have the same schedule. A word of advice... don't even think about being late for anything.
