prime orientation next week

Hey Cage, I didn't get a PM...currently at Millenium now eating then have to head to scout an instructor at the training pad.

 

I am in laundry room at Campus 45 mins to wait

 

Man, I'm right in that wing too! We were watching one of the basketball games at that time. Hopefully I get to meet some of you eventually. I should be gettimg paired with an instructor to hit the road soon now that they hit my drug test results back.

Since Monday but I couldn't do anything on the pad or in the sim room until they got my drug test results back and "activated" me.

So technically today was my 1st day driving a truck, since we had too much snow when I was here in Feb. As soon as I got to the pad an instructor picked me up and took me straight out on the road. Pretty cool, except for that fact that I'd never even driven stick shift, other than the "sim"....I didn't even get a chance to straight line back before he took me out. I thought he was just taking me to the shifting pad, but then he pulled the truck over on the side of the road and told me to jump in the drivers seat. I ended up driving through back roads, business parks, and even the Interstate all the way back to and through Springfield when we returned to Prime. My downshifting sucks to say the least and there were alot of patient drivers in Missouri today. Did backing for about 5hrs afterwards, and out of about 15 tries parallel parking, I only nailed 2 Alley docking wasn't much better. Long day being out from 745am until 9pm, and were supposed to have a load outta here by tommorow morning. We'll see if I can improve my downshifting within the next week.

 

Congrats man!!! Im hoping to go to the pad tommorow. Just need my ID. I finished all my sim stuff. Did the backing 1 time w/o hitting anything. Had to pull up twice which Im #%#$% about. We shall see how tommorow goes

 

My recruiter just helped me out and let me know that my paper temp license would be sufficient for orientation.

I'm flying out to Springfield on the 24th. I look forward to meeting your husband

 

He'll be there Mon. night. His bus gets in at like 10something at night. Can't miss him though... tall, skinny, and lot's of tattoo's LoL!

 

Tell him he's got a pal at orientation already!!!!!
