It's been answered correctly. Company drivers cannot have pets, lease drivers can.

    Acording to the website

Pet Policy: Prime Inc. is pleased to allow driving associates to have a single pet on their truck. The pet policy provides a weight limit of 30 pounds and requires a refundable pet deposit. The deposit can be paid in full up front or financed over a 6 week period.

This policy was changed last year. I also believe that the deposit is $1000.00 with a $300.00 down payment with the rest being financed. You could ask Open Road Dreamer as I believe he has his pet with him.

Yes you can have a pet with you, you have to pay the deposit. Keep in mind though, going into Canada you have to produce papers on the pet, shots etc. I was going to do it but changed my mind as I did not want to deal with any hassles when I go into Canada.
