Wtf are you on about?
It's been said before, the trucks are governed on cruise at 62mph for company trucks. Drivers at paid a BONUS for driving slower.
Bonus aka incentive.
Sorry for my tone, living in a truck with a stranger is making me irritable.

I understand; very few people can run teams, even for a short period of time. I had to do it on my very first trucking job and hated it after about 30 minutes. I understand the guy that owned the company moved to Prime after the company was sold to Leaseway. Horrible way to make a living running teams.darthanubis Thanks this.

Lol!
Yup, sounds about right!
I'm glad a guy past PSD before the change, but still had a similar experience. I had one of the best PSD instructors for the road though. I learned everything during my 85hrs on the road.
Our pictures didn't even get put on the company's Facebook page for the trifecta either. I wanted people to see. -
Thank you for your understanding.
Hopefully only two more weeks at 5500 a week starting next Monday.
I found your contributions to an old mountain descent thread interesting as that's how my psd instructor taught me how to go down a downgrade. I tried to snub, and he asked me, why did I take my foot off the brake? He had a line drawn on his brand applicator hesitate at 8psi. I've never rode my brake in a car, didn't think it a good idea to do so in a truck either. But I digress. Thanks. -
Dude, I straight up wanted to beat the snot out of my trainer when I went through it in '07. I've never wanted to hit someone so badly in my life and didn't act on it. Seriously, I was FUMING mad at the guy a few times.
He ended up apologizing for his "anger management problems" and later he got canned by the company a few months later, but... yeah. I can relate.darthanubis Thanks this. -
I figure I'm just earning my stripes like the rest of you guys.
At the end of the day, we are all just doing our best to make it.DocMarten Thanks this. -
That's exactly right, and with that attitude, you WILL be one of the ones to make it. Just gotta pay your dues and move on to bigger and better things.
Everything is a test... even folks you can't stand being around are a test

I remember that thread . I really got bashed for that, even by drivers with more experience than me. I learned that method in CDL school, so I guess they don't teach it any more. Best wishes to you and keep up the good work.darthanubis Thanks this.

Thank you CT.
The only thing I found missing in that thread, is what if there is snow on the downgrade? It seems snubbing would cause potential loss of traction, if same pressure not applied at each snub?
Concern of mine heading into winter. -
