    Whole other story........eh?

LOL... Have my own comedy of errors story on "trying" to pick up my own......couple of times!

    No worries, it'll work out.

Hey, least they hit you & not other way around!

Eager to see the next phase of your posting as an upgraded solo operator, then seeing hubby come into the fold.

I really have loved watching your progress. You've had one of the best attitudes I have ever seen. If your husband is anything like you, your both going to make one hell of a team out here.

    As always,
    PEACE
    ;)

It keeps raining. Dropped our load yesterday at the Fontana drop yard. Then had to go to Safelight for a windshield replacement.

Some stupid rock truck that should have been tarped threw several big stones and made 3 huge cracks on the drivers side. Just lovely.

So now we're all fixed and we've been waiting to get a load for the last 12 hours. Starting to think they are keeping us here to pick that same load back up and deliver it to the 90 tonight when it is due.

I wonder if everyone else is as slow as they have been running us. Since I have been in TNT we have only had 2 weeks with 5k. Most of the weeks have been middle 3k. We sit a lot. I don't like to sit this much.

Hoping to team with my trainer until my hubby gets through school as we get along great but there have been a few weeks where my take home was more than my trainers. Maybe it's a company thing.

Anyways just now got a load. Happy day all. Be safe.

It's the freight cycle... there's a surplus of team trucks after produce tails off.

Hello Charlami; I have read your whole thread, and I really appreciate your efforts in keeping us peepers informed. I should have been leaving this Saturday for PSD, but had a few minor glitches which have delayed me. Now waiting on a sleep test consultation and then probably a CPAP machine. Now my recruiter tells me I need 30 days on the machine to be "Compliant" whatever that means. Not sure if I can do some of that 30 days in PSD or do I have to do it all before I report.

In any case your trip has been very interesting and I appreciate all the positive comments you have received from the Prime Family. I am looking forward to joining the family - hopefully in the near future.

    Kind Regards

    Hal

    Hello back Hal,
That sleep test thing is a real u know what. Just make sure if you are on CPAP that you are compliant. That means that they need to show that you are using the machine while you are sleeping. I believe the guidelines are 5 hrs per night minimum but don't quote me on that. Im not a doctor.

I know that when you come in for psd that they don't do their sleep study until after you finish psd and have your CDL. If you have no insurance it is a good deal. My last sleep study in July before I came to Prime billed to my insurance for almost 4k.

Also thinking about it, the recruiters may not have the answers about what is needed as it is medical info. I know generally they can tell you that you need 30 days compliance but most likely cannot give guidelines as that would be practicing medicine. It may be best to ask your GP or Pulmonologist if you have one.
Keep us posed on your progress.

Another great thread from Prime drivers, this is a company which seems to put a higher value on its people than most of the others. Good luck going forward and I really look forward to reading about your experiences?

The recruiters aren't doctors... and if you have concerns the deal is that the Dr is going to examine you and make an individual prognosis going forward. They're not going to put you in a seat if your health is really at a point that its unsafe for you to drive. On the other hand, if he has concerns that can be overcome, Prime will work with you to get you squared away so you can drive. Safely.

You wouldn't be the first, and probably not the last. Just do Wally a big favor and turn your head away. The carpet is a lot easier to clean... :)
