Thanks IP, now I can sleep without stressing. I really am doing okay. It's just I never expected something to come through like that and now that I'm aware it happens sometimes it will be okay.
Because of the new lease I was negative last week. Just under $100 but I still hate to be negative at all. I was updating my spreadsheet before sleeping and nothing wants to calculate with it being blank.
So far other than that I seem to be doing well. We have a load dropping this afternoon the. Deadhead to UT to pick up a preplan. They are keeping me busy and that is how this team likes it. We aren't sitters or quitters here.
Well I'm off to bed. I hope I get to do some kinda gambling later today. Even if only $20 in slots. Have a great day.

It gets scary when they do that, and then they send the settlement info right after you bump the dock at the delivery. It happened to me on a load into Canada once. I trusted my FM when he told me the rate wouldn't be awful, but when you see that come over as soon as you get to your 90, the first thought that pops into your head is that there is a reason that you got the settlement right after you've run all the miles, and that reason isn't going to be good....
The rate on that run from North Carolina to the Toronto area by the way, a shade over $4.00 a mile. The weight of the load, 4,000 pounds.Charlami Thanks this. -
My FM will be back on Monday so hopefully then I will get the answer.
For tonight we are headed to SLC. I haven't been to that yard yet. Can't wait to see it. -
It's a trashed out ex-Swift terminal. Of course, Pittston was a total dump when we started with that one too.
-
I thought they just did a lot of remodeling to SLC ?
-
They're working on it. Remember, this was a Swift terminal... which means a dump.
-
Hey Charlami,
Has happened to us several times. No worries. Always straightened out every time. Never a prob.
See.........the lessons just keep coming, eh? Many more yet to come.......
-
Naaah, you guys are just spoiled. Swift terminals are made from the finest, cheapest steel buildings that money can buy, then finished by the lowest bidder. The walls get a new coat of paint every 5-10 years whether they need it or not!
skellr Thanks this. -
It would be good to take a shower before you arrive if you can swing it. You don't need drugs to see stuff moving on the walls in the showers there.

That'd be lost Swifties who can't figure out where they left their trucks...lakerized805 Thanks this.
