Well I broke the truck. My instructor says it isn't something I did but somehow the clutch is vibrating off the floor and we no longer are getting reverse. We just left the pad with almost an hour left of my practice time and we can't get the shop to answer so were crawling over in person because it isn't wanting to get any gears at all now. Not good!

I'm just freaking out. Incidentally my offset backing has improved. I was just getting comfy with blindside. ####.

ohh no. Hope you can get some sleep tonight if the night shift works on the truck. Maybe there is a bunk room left.

Glad to hear things have been going well & that you've apparently had opportunity to work on that backing.

Ahh...trucks. They always break down at the wrong time. But, rarely is there a good time. At least your at the terminal and not out in the boonies!

Good luck with your testing. I have a feeling your going to do just fine. ;)

Well they sent us to Freightliner for repair. We pretty much limped over here. Super high rpm but couldn't get the gear to hit at all. Really hoping this is just a clutch problem but it feels more serious to me but hopefully that is my inexperience talking.

Anyways I really don't want to test in a different truck but if this takes longer than say overnight it may happen that way

Sounds like a clutch problem , and the op is still a PSD no need for a bunkroom that student id will get them into a free room at the campus inn anytime during their training period

Nope... not if they need parts. Be happy! Its not "shut down the production line" time of year. Ever try to get parts when they're only delivered "Just In Time?"

We finally got the truck back yesterday. Then there is the picnic and rodeo. No pad time again. We tried the east lot and that is where testing was no pad time there either. I'm starting to think nobody wants me to pass except the instructor. Glad we finally got one this morning.
