Yeah, they dont update the website that much...
As for picking up... Im coming off a better than average week followed by a ho-hum week and now looking at a better than average week. Maybe hit bottom and beggining to turn up? I dont know... ask me again in 2 weeks. -
Talked to a PRIME recruitor yesterday and she told me that currently they are not hiring from my area. They re waiting for the economy to improve.

Ok let me update......i am decline from going ot Prime after the the terminal mgr from the Pittiston PA said no to home every week he said they are a OVER THE ROAD co. I was lied to by two different people and what makes u think that they will not continue to do that after I work there.... All I want is to run for a company and make good money , be happy, drive and be home with the family!!!! any suggestions????????????

it kinda depends where you live home every week is getting to be a tough order now with over 1000 companys going out of business in just the last year

I was told the same thing. I was told I was right in the middle of 3 divisions for flatbed and I could be home weekly or stay out. When I got my truck I was told I needed to go to the national account because I was in a bad area for them...
This was before freight fell off.

I'm on my 1st run with prime and everything has been just as they said. I was told up front to expect to be out 3 to 5 weeks. They are treating me really well so far. My co-driver has been with them for a year and a half and speaks highly of them. Great company in my opinion...

Hey Corry. You still in training or are you running team. Im from TN to and looking at going to Prime. Be safe and good luck with your first run.

I would be interested to know who told you that... Its BS. No one gets home weekly. Best I have been told is 3 weeks out 3 days at home as a company driver.
Lease/Op can go home anytime he wants, but he is paying for the fuel and he still has to make his truck payment every week.
OTR isnt very conducive to a weekly "being home with the family".... You need to find a local driving job... or at best, something regional or dedicated with another company. -
I got my CDL at a truck driving school in Tn. (TDI) and then hired on with Prime. I'm 4 days into my training. With Prime, if you don't have any OTR experience (which I don't) then you have to ride with a trainer for 60,000 miles (about three months). Some people may not like that your with a trainer that long but honestly there is a lot to learn and I dont have a problem with it at all. Thank's to you to and good luck!
