    Congrats Slick! Chicago, my hometown!

To miss the Chicago traffic, you gotta get there extremely early. Traffic hits around 5am and will last just about all day. Starts to clear up again around 8:30pm, but of course one accident can change all that no matter what time it is. Not a real hard city to get around, just congested. Most of the nasty construction is done for the winter too.

The Oasis centers usually don't have parking. Sometimes you'll get lucky, but they fill up pretty quick.

If you are going to be on I-94 Northbound, go to the TA at exit 1 at the Wisconsin / Illinois boarder. No charge and there is ALWAYS parking there. Easy and wide open spaces to back into. You can get to it off of US 41 as well, just before crossing into Wisconsin. I have yet to see that TA filled up and I go there a lot.

Also, Gary, IN usually has parking available too if you ever want to stop south of Chicago. The TA is pretty darn big and also has no charge. Not the best of areas, but I've never had any issues there at all and feel safe. I think they've really cleaned it up over the years.

What kinda truck did they give you? You get one of those little petes or a used freightshaker?

    Good luck!

No offense, but asking the same question 3 and 4 times in the same thread and 3 and 4 times in other threads as well is kinda like listening to a broken record. :biggrin_25525:

I agree.... I start to tune out.

Yes, you can go home... If this is the most important factor (given how many times you have asked the question), maybe you should think about another field of work... get used to irregularity

Not sure where you were going in WI, but to avoid Chicago all together you can always take I-39 in Bloomington up to I-43 as soon as you cross into WI and then run up to Milwaukee. Its pretty much the same distance, but much faster, unless you hit Chicago in the middle of the night.
