thnaks for the replies guys. Looks like I may have to consider some other options. No offense to those in the NE but I have no desire to move there. LOL

Think last time I talked to Schneider about tanks you had to be in ILL. been awhile though so it may have changed

Just decided to fill out the app for newb training... Put down tanker interest...

Since I ve moved back north in this Delaware area this may be part of the prime tanker zone ?

Maybe the training agenda depends on proximity to home state, demand, and interest ?

At least an acceptance or denial response can be in the pipeline for the training...

Congrats! You SHOULD be in a good area, but talk to a recruiter.

From what I have gathered from the tanker drivers I have talked to..they run from North Jersey to Illinois to Georgia..and anywhere in between.

Sounds like they sit a bit..but this is from talking to a couple of guys..take it as you will.

They do have a Cali run, but hard to get back east. Saw a ton in Kentucky and Tennessee last time.

Supposed to call in Monday to see how the application is going...

Recruiter already responded on a Sunday through e mail that they are working on app...

Already have learners and most endorsements- all but the Cdl license -awaiting Hazmat background fingerprint check... guess need twic too...

    Anyhow, the paperwork is underway...

Think I will push the tank division training right out of the gate.

Marine Corp two weeks after HS graduation and friends wondered where the hec I had gone... I still have that Seger ramblin man thing runnin through the veins...Did the house, dog, wife, and couch thing for a decade or so and it was nt enough... lifes slippin by w/o the experiences !!!
