Prime time

And thank you for your service to our country!

 

Well, after a minor SNAFU on the departure date, I made it to Scranton. Got on the dog an hour late in Boston due to weather and missed my connection in NYC so I had to stay there for the night. I made the final leg today and got to the hotel around 1. Met a couple of good guys that I will be going through this process with including my roommate for the week. Great guy from NC and we have a lot in common so that helps out tremendously. Tomorrow we will catch the shuttle to the terminal and away we go.

As far as anyone coming to Scranton anytime soon. The Clarion that we are staying in is under construction. Everything in the hotel is closed....No restaurant, no work out room and no pool but lots of construction. There are a couple of places to eat IE: pizza, Chinese, subway, but not much else that I saw. Dollar Store across the street for cheap toiletries and what not. Dunks is just down the street for coffee and donuts. I heard that there was a Walmart nearby, but without transportation it is impossible to get to unless you take a cab which I am told will cost 30 or so dollars... ONE WAY!! No bueno!! Other than that there is spotty cell service and internet is touchy as well. That's about it for now. I'll update at the end of day one tomorrow!
