No mystery about it. That's the way it's been the entire 11 months I've been here. If they fired his FM, they'd have to fire mine and probably a half dozen others in Pittston. Not saying there aren't good FMs in PRIPIT - there are, they just seem to be the minority in my experience.
Prime 48/CA and Prime NE Regional aren't even remotely similar.
**edit**
My QC just beeped. I sent my empty mac in at 0915 this morning.I still had almost 10 hours on my 11. So I finally get a load over 5 hours later that picks up 20 miles away.....tomorrow. Another wasted day just as BC outlined above. This is the norm up here.

I run up there all the time, and I don't have that problem. The real question perhaps, is what were you expecting? Tell me, what's your average settlement?
-
Of course you do fine up here. You have a decent FM. I have a theory - just a theory - that good FMs go and get their drivers loads and the bad/lazy FMs sit and wait for the planner to put something on them. I'll go into this in more detail later. I haven't tallied it lately, but it's below 2k miles a week. You would agree 2500/week isn't too much to ask for a guy who stays out 4 weeks at a time? I would, and have, stayed out longer, but what's the point if I'm just going to sit? May as well work on my golf game if I ain't making money
. I have a couple must-be-home events upcoming and if there's one thing my FM is excellent at, it's getting me home whenever I need to. After that though, it's time to move on unfortunately. I plan to make an in depth post once I've made the jump with all my 'bottom line stats'. Not that anyone cares, but it'll be off my chest and provide a different view point aside from all the 'I <3 Prime' threads.

Well, the place doesn't suit everyone. If I was in your place I'd be moving along as well. When I ran the company side I was over 2500 per week, and that's not too much to ask for.

Glad I dont do regional. Too many short runs when you limit your working area.
BigCheese Thanks this. -

Didnt know they went that far out of the region... If they go that far, does it still count as NE Regional...
-
The guys I've run across say it does - but they get the majority of their trips closer to the NE. There's a lot of runs up to Michigan as well.
-
HMMM. They can still have it. Too crowded in the NE
-
Yep, we get to the midwest, southeast, etc. In fact, I live in Ohio. I don't think its a coincidence that some of my best weeks have come when I've gotten to the central time zone. It doesn't happen often or at least for me it hasn't. Maybe 5 times total and most have been 'flukes' or 'with purpose' (FL dealer in SPRINGMO for instance). Of course, I've had tours where I left the house and never went west of I81 until I went home 4+ weeks later.
*edit*
I've actually been dispatched (night crew) to CO. No chains - no go /sigh. Just sayin, IP is right about us not strictly in the NE/Midatlantic. You only get that extra nickle for the loads that p/u or del. in those areas though.
