Oh...Well i have orientation Feb.27. I was talking to some drivers and they were saying that jan and feb are slow for them but after that they said they are getting miles anywhere from 2,500-3,000 a week. Did they tell your husband what starting pay was going to be for running the Northeast?

CJG, did you talk to regional drivers or all 48 state drivers about those miles?

With regards to starting pay, I just looked at the table provided elsewhere. I believe it's .33 to start up to 80K miles, .34 after, and bonuses for lightweight and regional (plus fuel bonus as it applies).

The way this northeast regional gig was explained to me was..you get,

    the normal .34 cpm +

.05 cpm for running northeast +

    .05 for running a lightweight

so .44cpm is what it boils down to.

ONE MORE TIME: Until you log 80,000 miles the base reefer pay is 33 cpm. AT 80,000 miles it goes to 34 cpm.

    Lightweight truck = + 5 cpm
NE (if you LIVE THERE) = + 5 cpm
Total on NE Regional for folks up there = 43 cpm until 80,000 miles, then 44 cpm.

The training miles you put in count toward the 80,000 miles.

I have a new 2012 Cascadia. Two seats and two tanks. It is a lightweight truck though. I did 2600 miles this week and probally could have done more but I am enjoying my weekends home now.

JCW has a 2012 Cascadia lightweight, 2 tanks, 2 seats. It's up to the driver whether or not he wants the passenger seat.

Ran into two Prime drivers in the International Prostar. They both said they love them, get better MPG than the Cascadia lightweight, more power, and smoother ride. Just passing on the comments....
