well i guess thats better then nothing, being able to run east west with them was one of the things I loved most about them because I love running out west but guess like with everyone since the slow down we just dont have the ability to do that anymore with alot of companies

We still run east/west... alot. It's just that U2 and I are both solos, and those loads tend to go to teams. That being said, I've still been out to the west coast about a half dozen times this year.

Ironpony and I have the same Fleet Manager... We dont run in any particular place... being company drivers, we dont have a choice in loads... We go wherever we are sent. But we get sent all over.

The only time we go where we want is when we request our home time...

My FM told me that most guys go out for 3 weeks and then take three days at home... I like staying out until I have either something planned or when Im just good and ready to get home. That has broken down to every 5-8 weeks. I am extremly happy with my FM's performance on this point... So far, I have always gotten home when I needed to or within paramaters I have set... by paramaters I mean, I have no plans set in stone (example, "no set plans, but can you get me home on the 20th plus or minus 2 days")

Typically, I begin to have unwarrented panic attacks when I have definate plans at home...like when I got sent to Mass. 6 days before a planned hometime in WA... dropped the load and then bam, bam, bam... 3 loads in a row across country and I was home.

Oh, back to East-West. Sometimes you get stuck in a regional rut, but give it a week or two and you get that load gets you out. Im back in the Northeast for the first time since Oct. Im beggining to see runs that I have done before. Same customers on both ends... most times those are nice, familiar with the directions, procedures, places to park etc.

Ive now done the Arby's Curly Fries run twice...(Summer, and Winter) all the way up to the end of 95 in Maine, then another 40 miles up 1 for pickup and then down to Bethlehem, PA (nothing better than a late night, traffic free cross Bronx over the GW into Jersey, any other time is hell) e Always a about 1k run with the DH.

I just applied to Prime over the weekend.

    We'll see how she goes.

I wasn't sure that prime hired Washington Residents.

I am looking to relocate to either Dallas or Pittsburgh anyway. But Glad to see having a Washington license may not be a hurdle.

Recruiter has been out of office until tomorrow so maybe I'll get some questions answered then.
