Well welcome to the real world of trucking. I noticed you didn't put you experiance. I would like you to show how you would do a parrall park with out doing a jack-knife.

Jack-knife + loaded spread axle = blown front tire. Only comment I'll make about the difference.

    Mudrunner,

Thank you for your input, just getting opinions from current trainers and how they instruct their new students and what Prime looks for the when a student comes back to test out and get their own truck, as I"m sure a 45 back is a requirement to upgrade.

Yeah that's why most trucks pulling a spread axel Have a dump valve to dump the air pressure to one of the axels air bages and raise the axel for tight cornering and backing. I don't know if prime has this option.

You don't have to jack-knife to get into a parking spot... nor do you have to oversteer like its the first 10 minutes you've spent in a truck.

You just need more room setting up, meaning starting the manuever earlier because your turning radius is larger - and consequently more pull-up room between rows of trailers. There are some good points that ol' Safety Ken (I really think "Safety Barbie" might be a lot more fun!) puts out. Making sure you have a reference point across from your intended parking slot, having your trailer as close to being parallel to the trailers next to you as your trailer enters the slot.

If you can do a pull-through to get into a parking place, you're always way ahead of the game - but if you can't always give yourself lots of setup room.
