The money isn't always the most important consideration. You also have to allow for "the aggravation factor".

My hubby just switched from Werner Enterprises, Omaha NE, to Priority (Chesterton In.). We seriously thought this was going to be a good switch. Werner was the WORST job ever!!! Never ever ever consider working for them. I rode with my hubby with Werner for a little over a year, and I know for a fact that they DO NOT care about their drivers. But thats not what I am asking...
Priority. I've read a few things on here about the company. 2 actually. And they were both kinda bad. Does anyone have anything good to say about them? Or, are we totally screwed? I don't want him to have to switch companies again. Money is tight as it is. But if he is just gonna get the run around from Priority, I would rather know sooner than later.
BTW, he is on their mid-west region, if that means anything.
Thanks in advance!!!!

do not think it will help much but i worked for them about 4 months ago i averaged about 300$ a week after taxes what a joke and believe me it was not because i did not want to drive hence the reason i am averaging 3000+miles a week now they just do not have the miles you end up going from home depot to home depot who most the time will not unload you early once in a while you will go to campbells in napoleon ohio which you will once again wait when i quit they said they where in the process of reorganizing things well that was about a month before i quit actaully it got no better the only thing i can say is bend over grab your ankles and bring lube

K.A.T now Priority out of Chesterton,IN was good at first, as an owner operator I was happy, I did 2 yrs with them Until just after 9/11 when they wanted me to pick up a Load of hazmat from Huron,OH ( Dupont ) when I had just dropped a load in Lyndhurst,VA with 3 hrs left to drive. I told them I could not Run the pick up that I was out of hrs for the week and would have to sit 2 days before I could pick up hours, The Dispatcher told me I needed to run the load or drive for someone else, I informed him I was an owner Op and was not required to pick up the load due to No Forced Dispatch, I contacted Tom in Safety and informed him of the dispatchers request and the conversation, His reply was that if I was heading home I would run it, After I got hrs back I contacted them and told them I would be coming to the yard and they had 3 hrs to get their decals, Plates and qualcomm out of my truck. They said may take longer than 3 hrs, I then told them after 3 hrs I would start charging them $100.00 per hr every hour it took them to remove the Equipment, Plates and decals. When Tom said what he said I knew it was going to get worse so I left, I know 3 other drivers that were company that have left as well due to the same circumstances, Anyway hope this helps.
