You can make decent money 1400+ every week as a driver not saying impossible but are you a robot? Normally that requires a good hustle I made 1200-1400 otr all but 1 week and I was regional area I went had a blizzard and unlike the other drivers who wanted play with it I chose netflix at the truck stop. Now fast forward to I live locally near an oilfield capital most don't pay high wage rather bulk of it paid in OT. ill say this we had people who would work 20 hours daily for as long they could and take breaks whenever they needed and most were young people and a few older folks. The ones doing 20+ hours daily are the ones looking to make 100k yearly. Just remember there's gonna be a time when you body can't handle it or if you have another person at home you better be taking care of them and not just money or they will find another body for that bed. I have know too many very fit soldiers and even more recent times oilfield workers they come home find out there lady had someone else in that bed.

What is your base rate of pay without any bonuses?

Well so far like I said I haven’t gone over 1400 yet. The benefits look pretty good and they just kicked in.
But again the runs I’ve done aren’t the best since I just started.
Weekly I do 1700 miles on average, but the 10+ guys on this account say you can do far longer runs like to the southeast like GA SC NC. I dont do those yet they keep me in the Midwest since I’m “new”.
    They average 2500+ miles
That’s why I’m not yet throwing the towel on this company. Once I get past the new phase will see what happens.
Yes it doesn’t say up to 95k it’s average of 95k.

I can put up with all the other #### like the crappy truck, cab camera, 65mph tops, I just need my pay to increase once I get longer runs.
We get a safety bonus, stop pay, detention etc
I still feel working for a big carrier is a mistake but it’s like a double edged sword.
Sorry, I refuse to work local, or LTL. Not my thing.

Also talking to other drivers don’t really help since they act like recruiters as there’s a referral bonus most companies have in place.
Everyone will sugar coat it just to get you in.

I guess the OP should have figured....if it REALLY paid that much, the position would be filled. Drivers would kill for a regional 95K a year job.

Ever thought about going to an LTL carrier? You would be home daily, weekends off, and potentially making over 80K after some longevity. Benefits are also decent and most give paid holidays plus PTO accrual. Just a thought... It's all about what works best for you.

We often see suggestions to talk to other drivers for the inside view. How would that conversation get started?

Troll drivers in truckstops and hope they don't think your trying convert them to Jehovah? Use the "talk to drivers" link in tenstreet? That seems like a paid liar offshore is going to spoon feed lies.

20 years ago they nearly hooked me with their classic bait-and-switch, which I wasn’t at all surprised to read that’s apparently still a thing there.

They tried that when I was still with Western Express.
Needless to say, avoided them like the plague!
