Did you load the triler that didn't have the gap the same way as the one that did?

I haven't had a chance to look at it closely but I'm leaning toward the cross members being bad or the frame being bent. Its eating the inside driver side tires when loaded and its been aligned twice. The king pin plate has also been replaced but I don't know all the details on that. Its also an '01. The other trailers I pulled were loaded the same way and didn't lift off the plate that way. I haven't figured how to multi quote so I'm answering all your questions in one long post.

Thanks for the replies. We found a bunch of cracks in the welds where the pin plate meets the frame rails. Who ever replaced the plate didnt prep it right and welded over the rust. So far so good. The trailer ran all the northern states and canada. The titanic is in better shape I promise.

Overhead welding is the hardest to do. I doubt they flipped the trailer over to weld new bolster on.
