Problems with drivers in the past week

Indiana is an "at will" state as well and my sister was terminated for calling off of work due to being in a car accident on her way in (US Steel). She got a lawyer and the judge told them that the company can terminate w/o cause according to state law..... so IDK about that

 

The bottom line is that this is NOT a responsible employee. There is NO EXCUSE for that, let alone a reason.

Don't fall for any of the BS excuses, because that is all they are. Even if there really was a death in the family.

Tie a tin can to his tail and send him down the road.

 

Big difference between unemployment claim and a wrongfull termination lawsuit. Most likely was paying by 1099 anyway.

His uncle and his phone died as holiday is starting... classic!

I'd be so insulted as a boss.

 

Maybe his laptop died and he has no way of getting a hold of us.

 

the term "at will" means termination for no reason.,

we are an AT WILL state. we can be fired just for the heck of it.

as for a notepad. it's never around when i want it. it only shows up when i'm NOT looking for it.

 

And this ladies and gentleman is the reason we have the department of labor. You don't have to pay for the work he didn't do. But you can bet your ### your gonna pay for the work he did do. And then some for trying to skip out on paying add a couple thousand or so.
