I'd sue them. I had something similar happen to me five years ago. I proved I was right and they refused the claim. To reward me they didn't renew me cause they said I was outside my radius, my agent said he didn't know there was a radius on my policy. I read policy three words tucked away in a place you'd overlook if not very careful. Since then I say piss on warren buffet.

I agree 100% on that my homeowners was with travelers for two years. I cancelled them quick I had to threaten them cause they would try and slip
renewals in on mortgage holder before I knew it. They are one of the worst out there.

It is likely that the same accident could have happened with just about any insurance carrier and you would have gotten the same adjuster. There are like three major adjusting companies in truck insurance and they all higher contract adjusters.

After a claim determination is made you then have a set number of days to request a review that will be with a different person. 9 out of 10 times if you have a good reason they will not even send it to review and just remove your deductable and pay the claim.

It is a business. Forget right or wrong. If they have a $5000 claim that will cost the $10000 to fight, what is the smart business decision? And don't tell me fighting today will save them tomorrow. They are not going to change the industry. It is what it is.

I just got a decent quote from Progressive:

1 Million liability / 100k cargo / 15k medical / Non-trucking (bobtail) / unlimited mile radius, general merchandise & refrigerated commodity, $1k deductible: $4500 annually if I pay in full. This was written for the state of Idaho. I have one speed violation that drops off in March, which brought it down by almost $500. I've had my CDL for 10 years.

That's a better rate than I thought I'd get with that speed violation. :biggrin_25520:
