Texas DOT always told me that a minimum of a closed-toe shoe was required but I never spent any time looking for the specific regulation because I always drive in boots. Period. I rarely drive in tennis shoes.

I don't pack anything other than shower slides & wellingtons for my feet. When I'm found dead, you better believe I went out with my boots on the ground!!

farmerjohn64 and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Smart, I only have them for the shower as well. I wear Chippawa boots. Proudly made in the USA

If the dummy trips on his shower shoes he might bounce off his belly and land on his head. :biggrin_25523:

I’ve worn Chippewa boots for the past 5 years at least, only have two pairs and they last a long time apparently if you take care of them, but they’re not slip resistant even though they’re steel toe and that’s something I need to look into; would be nice to have a custom pair of boots, especially with my flat size 13 extra wide feet

Hmm I think you’re right about that, the plastic sliding on the product, because it was a little easier to walk on once it was strapped down

I’ve got a pair of logger boots too, but man I’m already heavy footed on the pedals with my smaller work boots

How do those Ariats grab a clutch pedal? I had to stop wearing my Red Wings because my foot was slipping off the pedal. The first time it happened, I was on a plant scale. The weighmaster was none too happy with me. I thought I had tire up his scale.
