I would first check for stuck vents in the ac box or a malfunctioning vent actuator before replacement of control heaf

Sorry meant control head

It probably just a broke mode door actuator. They break all the time.

Quit putting stuff on the dash. Something fell down and is keeping it from Swapping over. Or is broken like the last guy said.

We were playing with the a/c and defrost knob and we had to play with it back and forth a few times for the door to close in that vent under the hood -
This is for 2010 and newer Prostars, older ones are a bit different, but the drive collar on the actuator will crack and just spin around the mating tang on the door flap. I have never ever seen a broken or jammed door. It is always the actuator that is broke. Check out this link for more info;

I found my actuator none of the gears are spinning when I change the knob.. is it a bad actuator or the climate control box.

The actuator is located near firewall right? So when I turn the controls that spins around stops then if I change controls again it doesnt spin anymoreLast edited: May 4, 2017

Yep, that actuator is split open. Probably a broken tang. They are held in with 2 or 3 torx head screws and come straight out.
